YOU'RE (VIRTUALLY) INVITED TO CHA
Can you feel it? The excitement here is hot enough to melt the couple of feet of snow sitting outside our office. That's because we're gearing up for the Craft & Hobby Show in Anaheim next week, and we cannot WAIT to show you all the great surprises we have in store for you.

As a MM Insider subscriber, you'll be in the know for what's coming from Making Memories long before our new creations hit the store. So starting next week, we'll be posting news reports on our blog, LIVE from the Show including information about our newest releases. And of course since we can't get enough of a good contest, we'll be giving away tons of prizes, featuring some of our latest releases making their debut at CHA.

This is a fun time to be an MM Insider reader. We're so glad to have you here!

FIFTH AVENUE: WHERE STYLE LIVES
New York's Fifth Avenue is more than just an address; it's the epicenter of high fashion. Not surprisingly, when Making Memories' design team embarked on an inspiration visit to the city, the style mecca delivered.

Making Memories' new Fifth Avenue scrapbooking and paper crafting collection embodies the color and sophistication of the city's finest boutiques. From its upscale paper designs and swanky adhesive accents, to ultra-chic ribbon trims, die cuts, and pebble brads, the collection commands the spotlight regardless of the project.

Laur a Vegas shows us just one of the many ways Fifth Avenue brings a lot of pop and fashion to pages. To recreate this look, just:

  • Use a 9x9 sheet of white cardstock for your layout and add a 8.5x8.5 piece of red cardstock in the middle
  • Adhere a 6.5x8.75 piece of die-cut pattern paper on top of a 6.5x8.75 piece of pink cardstock and adhere to layout.
  • Adhere a strip of green ribbon along bottom of die- cut paper and staple the ends
  • Add 3 cardstock circles in a few random flower centers; add glitter brads or chipboard accents to circles
  • Mat die-cut phrase to green cardstock and staple a small piece of ribbon to the top; adhere with pop-dots for extra dimension; add chipboard letters for title

DID SOMEONE MENTION CONTESTS?
Speaking of contests, we have one for you right now. In recent years, we've enjoyed an incredible response to some of our latest programs, from our holiday themed collections and our vintage-meets-hip series, as well as our boutique-designed programs for kids and pets.

Now we ask you: What has been your favorite Making Memories program in the past couple of years? Tell us on our blog today, and on February 13, we'll select three winners at random who will take home a bounty of treats including a huge collection of our top-five most popular programs (as rated by all of you).
