For Ryan Naegle, accounting is a family affair. After completing his Bachelors of Accounting from the University of Utah, he helped put his wife through school as she earned her Masters in Accounting from the same institution. Not to be outdone, of course, Ryan then returned to the University once again, also earning his Masters in Accounting.
Though employed by a top CPA firm as he finished his degree, his career was nearly sidelined by the events of 9/11. A friend from school, however, introduced him to Making Memories' then-president Danny Hansen, and a career was born.
Today, Naegle is responsible for anything related to "numbers," as he says, overseeing all private accounting tasks for the 11-year old company. He also is responsible for managing the company's growing IT department, which continues to expand with the company's renewed success - much of which he attributes to Making Memories' new Slice, as well as its increasingly popular line of designer papers and seasonal crafting programs.
Outside of the office, Naegle enjoys spoiling a good walk with his fledgling golf game, as well as camping, hiking and playing basketball. Whenever possible, he also continues to support his wife's other passions which, to her great fortune, happen to include scrapbooking.
